You identify the pros of co-living and community living, but I wonder about possible cons.
I think it's less about cons and more about what you're looking for. Different people see the same factor (ex: collaborative house rules) in the opposite light. Or even I found certain elements to be a positive for certain period of time and a turn off at another time.
For example, the different housemates moving in and out during my co-living time was a "pro" until I was looking for deeper relationship building...then that became a "con".
